How do you convert mm to cm?

My cousin got her results.....the left thyroid lobe measuring 7 x 4 x 6 mm.

On the right side there is a small area measuring 3 x 2 x 4 mm..

what does this amount to in cm?

    Use unit cancellation:

    You multiply by (1), canceling units.

    10mm = 1 cm

    divide by 10mm on both sides

    1 = (1 cm/10mm) note: I like to put converters in parens.

    Now multiply by (1), canceling the mm top and bottom:

    x mm (1cm/10mm) = _____cm

    It's like converting pennies to dimes! You could divide by 10.

    divide by 10. the lobe id 0.7 x 0.4 x 0.6 cm and the small area 0.3 x 0.2 x 0.4 cm

    10 mm = 1 cm, so the conversion is a 10 to 1 ratio.
