Cobra XRS 9345 radar detector?

I have just gotten a Cobra XRS 9345 radar detector for my 350Z.

I have two questions about this radar detector.

1) From other consumers, how reliable or effective is this radar?

2) Where is the best place to mount the radar? High or low on the windshield? On the dash?

    you should mount it in the drawer in your bedroom/detectors are 99.9% obsolete/the new instant on radar is lasor equipped and when you detector goes off and warns you they are already writing the ticket/all they are good for is picking up garage door openers signals/no more sitting and letting radar scan/thats over and done/good luck with your new toy/ebay is loaded with them cheap as they dont help
