Real r&b is pretty much dead. Real "actual" r&b doesn't get pplayed at all on the radio anymore, it's gotta be mixed with either hip hop or pop for the radio to play it.
I don't consider this new stuff (bryson, pnb rock, Jeremih, tory lanez, etc) really r&b, or at least not real r&b. I call it more like soft rap, urban pop or just urban music. There's a few r&b artists still around, but they don't really get played much anymore. The r&b guys from the 90's still release music but it kind of goes unnoticed.
