Sims 3 shuts down my computer?
Okay, well a long time ago, i had purchased the Sims 3 Online, so I got the downloadable version off the EA website. My laptopis very new, and has all the system standards for the game. I would play it, and everything would be perfectly fine. the game ran smoothly. but after.. let's say. 3 or 4 months the game would start shutting down my computer everytime i would run the game. i dont know if its because i have too much memory on my laptop, and if i need to delete any other programs. I would really like some help with this, and i can't re install the game. i dont have the code for it anymore. any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I really did enjoy this game. thanks.
Update:I have a sony VAIO and i'm not sure what model. Is it really because it's overheating? Because the computer will crash just seconds of starting the game. and i'v tried cooling fans for it. doesn't workk.

Hello!
You may need to change a few settings on your computer. First, go ahead and set up The Sims 3 with DEP. Click on the link below and follow the instructions in the FAQ:

Then I would suggest that you end any background tasks that could be preventing the program from running correctly. The FAQ below will walk you through clean booting your computer:

Its overheating, Pc's put the fans on the bottom for some stupid reason.
Get a cooling base or lift it up with a book or something.
I highly recomend a mac
The computers are not overheating, overheating can shut down your computer but why would it shut down every time you start the sims?
Wait it's because your computer is overheating but there are fans at the bottom of the computer. It might just be wearing out.
