being a gamer i have to say vista aslong as it is not a pre-installed copy like compaq dell or so on. but if you do media production type work then mac. macs are just as vulnerable as windows when it comes to viruses trojans and what not. just more use windows so it is seen more.
OS X Leopard. It's more secure, it's more stable, it's not fouled up by layer upon layer of digital rights management stuff which is there not to help the consumer but to protect the entertainment business, and it looks nicer. Plus, crackers tend not to write viruses for OS X.

Mac OS X... if I really had to choose.
I am a Linux user, so more partial to the Mac OS.
