do people realize that tupac was a huge hypocrite ( no disrespect)?

i like tupac as a rapper but he put himself out to want peace in some song but then makes another about killing people and how much of a thug he is.

BQ: do you think hopsin is the same

  • i was actually thinkin about this earlier today. on all eyez on me hes got bring the pain about killin n!ggas and then life goes on about remembering dead friends like wtf. i mean i think theyre both great songs but yeah 2pac was very ambivalent on that sh!t. i think he was real territorial, didnt like n!ggas to mess with his people but it clouded his judgment a lot.

  • When 2pac makes a gangsta 'thug' song, he is 'representing' a certain society (i.e. gangs).

But representing literally means re-presenting. He's presenting to us something that we are already (somewhat) aware of. But he is presenting his own interpretation of it through his art (rap music), giving the audience another perspective of the matter in question (such as gang violence, be it moral or just)

He then represents keepers of the peace, therefore giving his audience the chance to make an informed decision of what life they wish to chose. That's what role modals do. Whether you like him or not, he's a role modal (every famous person is someones role modal).

  • no i dont think so but all rappers are like that, saying one thing in one song and changing views in other

like eminem and lil wayne too
