Heat get all players with expiering contracts

and you could also get draft picks on the deal

  • Nah, Miami and Chicago (and their fans) had to struggle through "rebuilding years" last year and are looking to contend this year.

I think this trade keeps both teams in "rebuilding" mode. Miami would be another lottery team next year, and then would half to deal with a majority of their players going to free agency.

Miami wants to be back in contention this year - might be tough to do if Marion isn't committed, but I think you could get some pieces for him from another team thats looking for cap space.

  • i can see where u r coming from...but i think the heat got a little too much in return (tyrus thomas to play pf, channing frye as a back up center etc...) and since the blazers just got bayless from the draft (trade) i don't see the blazers needing to do that

  • interesting but I don't think the Blazer would want to take on a big contract, and they already have Bayless so this trade wouldn't work out for Portland.

  • true the heat do get all expirings but marion is expiring after 1 year too. wouldnt it just be more logical to keep marion?

  • Trade is bad.

Heat isnt getting enough for Marion.

  • pretty fair for all 3

  • trade sux

  • That trade sucks.
