you'll be fine. it really isn't that hard. at least not as hard as algebra II. it's mostly just introducing how to start using algebra. don't sweat it. just pay attention, and do your homework.

In case you get stuck, you can enlist the help of an older sibling or your parents. Even your teacher.
Don't complain about homework. It's just to make sure you know your stuff, and when it comes exam time, you'll be glad you did it! I know I was.
Another thing that really helps is to have the right teacher who'll help you and stuff, not get all impatient and huffy when you don't understand something right away. If you get a teacher like that, ask to switch, if you can.

i took algebra in 8th too.... it would be just like any other class...if you got put in that class it must be because you can handle it... it might be hard in some areas, but really easy on others it just depends wat you can do

you're around average right now, most people are taking algebra in their 8th grade year.
most teachers are very understanding that this is your first year of algebra, and you may not get everything.
it can be hard if you don't ask questions. if you don't understand something, just ask. most students probably have some of the same questions.

Worked as a Construction Super most of my life. Slide rules and much Geometry. Never used algebra once in my life, waste of time.
It was challenging for me. I liked algebra II more. You should go get some sparkcharts. They help.
