Graphics card dilemma, any help?

Ok, so I have this new PC, i3 dual core with 2 virtual cores also, 4gb of RAM with 3.7 gb of readyboost, and Intel HD graphics.

Pixel Shader Ver 4.1

Vector Shader Ver 4.1

And 1.7gb of RAM with it

That seems pretty good right? But anyhow, most games only work with ATI and Nvidia, so are there patches I can get to make it think I have ATI or Nvidia, shame to waist some good spec on compatability, any help. If I can't get one for games in general then Skyrim, Dead Island and Crysis are priorities. Thanks!

  • The most important piece of hardware for any gaming PC is the graphics card.

Graphics cards are made by Nvidia and AMD (who acquired ATI).

The Intel HD graphics you have currently isn't actually a real card, just a GPU that's built-in to your Core i3 processor. It's slightly slower than a Radeon HD 5450. Even a $50 graphics card like a GeForce GT 430 is triple the performance of that. And for games like Crysis you need at least a $100 graphics card (preferably something better). There is no software patch or download you need, it's a matter of hardware.

You need to install a real graphics card into your computer's PCI-Express x16 slot. At minimum one of these, which could play Skyrim on medium/high settings at 1600x900 resolution.

This card is even better, pretty much the minimum for Crysis:

High-end graphics cards draw more power, so really good midrange models in the $150-$200 range would require upgrading your computer's power supply as well.

  • You won't be playing Skyrim or Cyrsis at a decent level with an integrated graphics chip, I'm sorry to say. And no, there is no patch to trick those games into thinking you have an ATI or nVidia GPU.

You really should consider purchasing a dedicated graphics card if you are wanting to play graphic intensive games such as the ones you mentioned. Just make sure you have the expansion slots necessary before purchasing a new graphics card.

I'm sorry the solution you are after doesn't exist.

    Hope it helps!

  • if you want to play high graphics game, your really have to buy a Video Card, don't rely on your Computer Spec, i see you still use Integrated Graphics, those are really not enough to play the game nowadays. Video Card memory is faster than RAM (Integrated Graphics use your RAM) and they have settings that is needed to play high end games.

whenever you want good graphics, you always look at the Video Card, sometimes PC specs just do little contribution on game performance.

but there's a software that i have that has the option, settings of a video card, even make the PC think i have dedicated, google 3D analyze.

  • hi it will be or the GPU it fairly is damage or the motherboard is failling. the in uncomplicated words thanks to understand, which one is inflicting the project is to move the GPU to a unique laptop and textual content each of the factors of your device. acquire all as a lot as date drivers on your attempt device and verify that run nicely, if no longer, then there could be a gpu subject. IF no longer the gpu, then is the motherboard, is the in uncomplicated words thanks to understand. both way Foxxcom motherboard are literally not the kind for use for gaming because the common of the ingredient are fairly low. I were given a stoop it fairly is the motherboard. enable me recognize some thing if keeps an similar situation.
