For LC......................a poem..............c\c?

In heat of day, a soothing breeze

from somewhere brushed my face

And in my restless, ill at ease,

Her words the wind embraced.

With questions pondered, none unearthed,

I search her thoughts I saved

and feel the foam of cooling surf,

in clear, poetic waves.

A muzzle flashed the cowards' part

And torched their twisting thought.

As bullets pierced a hundred hearts,

They bear the damage sought.

If ever gazing face to face,

The future must impart.

She holds the deed, a magic place

Within this poet's heart.

  • Going through your questions

all the way back, "How to get to Level Two?"

I realize that I am very blessed

to be thought of so well by you.

Your interest was always in my poems

    rather than my community standing;

your edit advice was always sound,

and subtle, not presumptuous or demanding.

Your praise of me means so much more

coming from a poet who possesses such skill.

You lift my spirits and my self-esteem.

If Gene says I can, then I will.

Thank you so much my dear friend.

You know I love this part, It hits close to home. You have such a smooth rhythm. And I really did go through all of your poems this morning as I needed a reference for one of Gio's "challenge' questions.

From a purely poetic consideration, this is a top notch poem. I loved it. Your words, the way you craft them and tie in with your incredibly fluid rhyme scheme make you second to none, though we know there are many good ones on YAP in he same camp to be fair, but sir, you deserve mucho props here.

To add some icing on the cake, I happen to know who this LC character is, and she is a beautiful human being, and for those who are thinking anything, I mean inside 1st. Is no one like her. Period.

Have to leave it at that, cept to say thanks for writing this poem GB.

  • That's very nice Gene , it describes the very nature of LC who we all love dearly.. :)
