AIDS is a disease of the immune system, caused by a virus called HIV.
A disease is a process of something going wrong with an organ or system, while a virus is a particle that can cause some diseases.
AIDS is not a disease. It is the end stage of HIV. It is caused by retro virus which targets the monocytes and lymphocytes.
