Can Mixed Bred Dogs Do Agility?

Hi. I was wondering if mixed breds could do agility.

  • Yes. Our mixed breed (Border Collie/Whippet/Lab?) competes in agility. She is in the "All American" category since she is not purebred.

    Shelter dogs rule.

  • Yes, mixed breed dogs can "do" Agility. Mixed breed dogs are eligible to compete in all Agility organizations in the US, AKC included.

  • Absolutely! Mixed breeds are just as good at agility as purebred dogs. And mixed breeds as well as purebreds that are not eligible for AKC registration can compete in AKC agility trials as long as they are enrolled in AKC Canine Partners. • Yes but they cannot compete in any AKC competitions. They can compete in mixed breed competitions but until the AKC permits all dogs to compete you are limited.
