Become a petroleum Engineer?

Hi, I have completed BSc in mechanical engineering. Can I study Bsc in petroleum engineering? I'm from Houston, TX.

  • You can go get another BS degree, but I think you can also get into a Master of Science program since you already have a BS degree. In an MS program, you will just have to take a certain set of undergraduate classes needed as prerequisites to the petroleum program.

    You may also want to contact the Colorado School of Mines about this question. They have a top-ranked petroleum engineering program that is recognized world-wide.

  • You should also look into the University of Texas, Texas A&M as well as Texas Tech. You would be eligible for in state tuition and these schools are just as good if not better than Colorado.
