How do i fix my car a/c?

I drive a 1994 Acura Integra LS and am having problems with my a/c...its not working. The first thing I want to do is recharge but what type of freon do I put in my car? (For those with Acura Integras, your advice would be most helpful.) 10 points to whoever has the answer. Thank you and God bless!

Update:

For those who know anything about freon, I'm talking about R12 and R134A. which one do I use for my car and why?

Update 3:

How do I figure out what freon my car currently uses?

  • r134/ if that system is empty/ better pull a little vacuum on it to see if its got an apparent leak/ saves time and money of charging and losing the charge/ r12 is not easily obtained in us. 1i would talk to a pro/they have the Equipment to vacuum system and will be able to detect leaks with the sniffer//some of these leaks are in places you cant see( EVAP CORE) is one

  • R12 is the old kind, not carried in stores. Requires a license to use. It is also more expensive.

R13 anybody can buy but your system must be using it. They cannot be mixed, however your system can be converted. There's a process of doing it yourself, but if not done right can damage your system.

  • i'm from detroit indoors the previous days -- as quickly as we did each and each ingredient ourselves and automobiles did no longer have computers in them controlling the each and each ingredient. if I even have this genuine, you had the starter checked and its impressive. you have a clean battery -- the lights furniture, radio, and horn artwork. even if the motor vehicle although won't turn over. this implies that the wiring someplace between the battery and the starter isn't ok -- would desire to be the warmth lead the two interior the previous or after the starter relay is grounded or the insulation is burned and it partly grounds. result -- no longer sufficient amps extra to the starter to tutor it over. this would in all possibility kill a battery particularly quickly, too. you will get comparable no initiate concern concerns in case you have an anti-theft gadget failure [i understand zip all approximately Ford Freestar 2005 -- for all i realize it does not have anti-theft] that forestalls the starter relay from offering ability to the starter. specific, i think of of there is the thank you to bypass those and no, i do no longer understand what [twine a instruction manual exchange around the relay's low voltage terminals like we used to do indoors the previous days so the mechanic under the hood would desire to tutor the engine over without moving into the objective tension's seat?] and in accordance to possibility the starter relay itself has long long previous undesirable [our instruction manual exchange examined for that as properly]. what to no longer do -- do no longer attempt to bypass the starter relay and twine the battery directly to the starter. the amps the starter attracts are sufficient to burn you particularly badly, 12v or no.
