My Car A/C makes very loud noise?
My SUZUKI XL-7 2006 with 44000 miles makes very loud noise as soon as I hit on A/C button. the Fan works fine without any issue.
Basically the AC is not functioning right now and I was wondering if the problem is the compressor or just the belt? any idea?

Here's an "idea". Nobody here can see the belt. So it could be your compressor or it could be just the belt.
Another "idea", a certified AC service person could probably tell you if it's the belt or the compressor.
But I also know that if you aren't getting any cold air, it's not the belt.
Sounds like a seized compressor and when your switching the system on the clutch is engaging but the belt ends up slipping and screaming because the clutch cannot turn. Sorry to say its not a cheap fix either.
Cam belts tend to no longer slip, as they have 'tooth' to stay away from this. Sounds greater like a force belt the two alternator or ability guidance pump . present day automobiles don't have fan belts. an consumer-friendly restoration is to sprinkle talcum powder to the interior the belt.
