How do I create a flash AS3 preloader?

I created a site that is in layers. It loads the main movie on layer 5. I wanted a preloader that would have an animated door above layer 5 that closes, unloads the current movie and preloads the next movie showing all the dynamic loading >Update:

Thanks for your reply. I am aware and capable of a simple pre loader but your example is great! However I think my request is a bit more complicated...see I want the preloader to actually be a door that will animate itself closed while the main movie is still running, unload the movie, load the next movie behind the door and when the door opens it is a whole new movie. Does that make sense?
