Do MNCs reject IGNOU MCAs or IGNOU (BCA+MCA)s?
I am in dire straits, I have completed my BCA from WBUT full time this year and I thought that MCA from IGNOU was good but as I go through the replies on Yahoo Answers, Siksha.com and ibibo I get a feeling that IGNOU MCA grads don't get jobs in proper companies (like TCS, Infy and Accenture).
Moreover to add to my nightmare some one had posted:
"People who say you can work in a big company after getting some experince are saying what used to happen 10 years ago, the policies have changed since 2006. If you have IGNOU in your resume you can't appear for TCS, Infy, Accenture interviews."
So when people talk about IGNOU MCAs getting rejected do they refer to people who have completed their BCA and MCA from IGNOU or does that include IGNOU MCAs who have completed their BCA as a full time course ?? (WBUT in my case)
PS: After my MCA I would like to work in IT MNCs, I am not a fan of govt jobs. And working for TCS would be a dream come true.

One of my friend has completed MCA in IGNOU earlier. He was also facing problems with many companies. Finally, he joined some education institution long back.
I dont know why they reject IGNOU MCA's, but they're doing it.
Please join with some other universities.

Yes they reject, specially top Indian MNCs TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant. these companies don't shortlist resume even I am having 6 years of experience I am facing this problem. Why IGNOU is not taking action against these companies? Atleast government should disclose this information so that all the students can save their life
Basically TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Cognizant are not good in hiring the true talent. Instead, they are just looking for some *** to fill their seats. They have no innovation like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, or facebook. They hire a bunch of monkeys who is good for nothing other than showing off their marks. They ll give you an engineer s designation and provide you with a clerks job. Why do skilled professionals look for these crap companies.
Doing BCA from IGNOU is better, but it is advisable do do the course through full time study,instead of Part time courses, Only degree does not work but your capacity will judge your pay. MCA is best paid off now a days. First complete your studies then only we can well discuss on the pay. thanks
