India has a potential to be a super power. The country as a whole has progressed a lot. The people need to force the political leaders to write laws to protect against corruption, nepotism, etc. As far as religion is concerned, the imbalance could be neutralised by the people. I believe Bollywood can be a big influence and is trying to do so by producing movies like "Gadder".
when a country progresses towards a better economy and industrialization which brings in modernization ...things like corruption,religious imbalances creep in...which country hasn't faced it?
These things do not determine the capability of a country to become a superpower...intelligent minds, a good will, patriotism and good administration is what makes a country a super-power...and India like many other countries is developing on that.

Nope, I meet sick India Diplomat Drunk, heavy gambler and that lost his wife, kids, house, car, and money for being a stupid drunk gambler. They are not good example for the United States. The funny thing is now this once big headed person now works at Safeway as a Common Cashier....LOL I couldn"t stop laughing....LOLOLOLOL...HAHAHAHEHEHEHE. For his corruption god corrected his income from $300,000 a year to under $20,000 a year.
Supreme means it's the top one. I don't think anyone thinks India is the top power militarily, economically, or by any other measure. That being said, no country is perfect.
Sounds like you're describing the USA. Considering what we are doing around the world, I don't think we should have any say of who does or doesn't deserve to be a super power.
Got news for ya. They're not a supreme power yet. They could be in a few decades if they play their cards right, but not just now. Sure they're around 1bb people, but most live in poverty.

And every religions have full rights. Not like other countries, e.g Hindus can not build temples in any Muslim and Christian countries.
Corruption is every where even In US Europe. but problem is that India is uneducated that wise there is more. politicians cheat very easily.

More than power I would like India become a good example in more fields.
