Grades for a UC?
Are these grades not high enough to get into a UC? I heard people need to get STRAIGHT A's to have a good chance to get in. & I'm aiming for the top UC's such as LA or Berkeley.
1st Semester;
Gym - B+
French - A
Health - B
Science - C+
Math - A
English - B
2nd Semester;
Gym - A
French - A
Keyboarding - A
Science - B+
Math - A
English - A-
Thanks!
Update:Btw, those are my freshman grades. I'm going to be a sophomore in the fall.

Colleges rarely look at Freshmen year grades. Try to progress in your grades and the subjects they are you truly enjoy...do your best in them.
Do well on your SATs and if you have to take them, Subject Tests as well.
***EDIT***
And I agree with the person above me...do not just go by name.
You need to kick it up a notch next year(Straight A's, 1b)to have a good chance at being accepted. I had a 3.96 GPA over 4 years and I was accepted to UCLA, but I chose UC Irvine instead and I love it. Don't just go to a well known school because it's well known.
they don't look at ur freshman grades for UC.
they take 10-12 (1st semester for 12th grade)
your grades are good! just keep it up and keep improving. if you get all A's you will definitely go to a UC
LOl yea your grades are great! keep it up. you need at least a 3.0 so no worries.
