Do you think Barrack H. Obama is a Racist?

rom Dreams of My Father: ‘I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.’

From Dreams of My Father: ‘I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race.’

From Dreams of My Father: ‘There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.’

From Dreams of My Father: ‘It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.’

I see a lot of people are attacking Beck without actually addressing the validity of his point... Argumentum Ad Hominem... argument to the man... In other words, because a certain someone makes a claim, that claim must therefore be invalid due to some unrelated reason. Wake up libs... Address the POINT, not the MAN... There are all kinds of evidences out there to show that Obama is a racist, from his comments in his own book to the church he attended for twenty years, to his actions as president, to his speeches on his campaign trail, to the very people with whom he surrounds himself... Address the evidence, and forget for a moment WHO it is that made a comment about Obama's racism! Address the comment itself!

Barrack Hitler Obama is a Black supremacist !

Update:

Milly, dont be jealous.

  • Are you feeling better now?

But thanks for the 2 points troll

How did a troll get to Level 2??? What? do hang around Men's health for a while?

  • Nope. Taking these phrases out of context of the book and chapter neglects the facts of his life. He grew up a child in a time that was far less kind to children of mixed race couples. He has dealt with his race issues. It is too bad the same can't be said for those who accuse him of racism on the basis of these quotes.

  • It would be nice if instead of pulling out a portion of the statement - youd display the entire paragraph. But perhaps you pulled this from somewhere else, and did not take the time to read the entire book or at least the entire statement that was made.

  • I don't see any racist overtones in those quotes. Of course, you're quoting out of context too, so that's not helpful either.

Sounds like a typical teenager to me, striking out against his parents, except in his case, he had the added difference of race to rebel against as well. That doesn't make him a racist.

  • No he's not, its hard for any child especially a mix child to grow up and be confuse about their Identity, you're making something out of nothing, read between the lines, read whats there and not what you want to be there.

  • I had to calm down a little bit before answering this question.

How did you ever make it to level 2, with such a attitude?

People are just people, and "some people" are Trolls.

Do you feel just a little Jaded?

    I thought so.

    Go in peace.

  • lol @ retarded right wing racist chain letters.

Just a thought, maybe you should just read the damn book instead of passing along this fantasy drivel from the aged Glenn Beck fan club.

  • Yes, but no more so than anyone else. Face it, everyone is to a certain extent. It's just that some people are less than others.

  • you are the racist one because all i want to do is go get some frid chicken and watermelon and grape soda wihtout people looking at me like i am a weirdo for being a whitey and eating those things

  • Context! Just like Sotomayor, it's all about context. He's not really racist. You just missed the context of what Obama was saying. Hitler himself wasn't really a bad guy, when you understand the context of what he was doing.

Remember, anything that is wrong, or even evil, is really only a misunderstanding of context. Remember to contextualize this. Obama is not racist when understood in proper context. Neither is Sotomayor. Context. Context everyone.
