Is a Pentium 4 Processor 64-bit?

It's a 3.4 GHz processor that came in my Dell Dimension 8400. I'm not sure what the 3 digit number is after Pentium 4, and this is a hyper-threaded processor.

  • Nope. it is not .. the only 64 bit processors are the AMD 64x2 or the new intel core2duo processors. anything that was bought before 2 years ago is most likely a 32bit processor.

  • Without further details no one can give you a definate answer. There are 64-bit capable pentium 4 processors out there, but that doesnt mean yours is.

  • HT is hyperthread, no it isn't 64 bit only 32.
