Comments

  • 1. Next month, a new book is going to be written by Timothy.

    2. A person suspected of murder was arrested by police yesterday.

  • Here is how to build the two voices:

    active

    {subject} + {verb} + {object}

    passive

    {object} + {be} + {past participle} + {by} + {subject}

    There are three steps to making a passive sentence:

    1 - make the object of the active sentence (the cake), the subject of the passive sentence:

    active

    Elsa ate the cake.

    passive

    The cake

    2 - make the verb passive; we do this by using be and the past participle:

    active

    Elsa ate the cake.

    passive

    The cake was eaten

    3 - we can leave it like that or make the subject of active sentence (Elsa) the object of the passive sentence - we introduce it with by:

    active

    Elsa ate the cake.

    passive

    The cake was eaten by Elsa.

  • that's enormously technical grammar questions. that is been ten years because my college grammar course. right here is those I remember. 3 - b. each is the priority and the verb style could be 'has' to agree in quantity. 4 - a 6 - d The rephrased sentence shape is awkward and must be divided into a minimum of two sentences. 8 - ing 9 - a 'Potatoes' is a noun. 12 - c 13 - d wherein case the 't' in the will become capitalized.
