I agree on the drops baby is probably having a gas problem..I had a fuzzy one at home and I still remember the restless nights and we tried it all...I'm not too sure what worked but this is all what we tried:
warm babi tummy with a blankie wrapped around her
rock the babi to sleep
mylecon drops
burb baby every once of formula (burb after the first once and then feed then burb again)
and finally after more restless sleep we talked to the doc and he changed her formula..
Already some good advice in a few answers - maybe try an infant swing. The movement often calms fussy babies - but if she falls asleep turn off the motion (sleep is deeper that way).
See why she is fussy. Is she hungry? Feed her... Is she wet? Does she have a BM?change her.... Is something on her clothes irritating her? try different clothing that is loose.... Does she pull her legs up and seem to have a belly ache? Try to hold her with a little pressure on her belly.... Does she just want to be held? hold her.... Does nothing seem to calm her? Take her to the doctor....Does she have a rash? Try some Johnson's Diaper Cream....Try some different diapers at night, maybe she does not like to feel wet.
the baby could be suffering with gas and may not be digesting the milk well. Make sure the baby has burped well and tap the middle of the back. MAybe the baby could be colic.. Ur baby is young and still wants mommy. If mom is breast feeding that could be another reason too. Lots of hugs and kisses sometimes help.. Good luck!!
I have a two week old and he also gets fussy early evening, i've started to give him a bath around seven, then feeding and cuddle time and it seems to work. I don't recommend bathing every nite but every 2days or so. Make sure you don't get frustrated they can sense it and become frustrated as well. Good luck!
All babies are fussy. She might just be tired or may just want to lay down in your arms for a while... when you are most definitely sure that she is sleeping, you get up and start walking around with her in your arms and slowly walk towards her bassonet. Lay her down in her bassonet and stay there until she is officially asleep... dont turn any lights on or make any noise... do that before you try and put her to bed... oh and one other thing... when you are laying her down in your lap before she tries to go to bed... make sure that all of her necessary blankets are on because babies hate it when you try and fuss around with them after they are asleep... i learned that the hard way... Much Luck! KK
At this age they want to be held 24-7 ....she is accostomed to the feeling of being 'held' 24-7 from Mom .....so even cutting down to 12 hours is a lot for her to cope with! Breastfeed...if not i say use a pacifier! swaddle up tight and hold her, babies love motion, take her for a evening walk around the block...or just around the house.....a newborn baby is VERY different from a 3 month old....this too, shall pass
My son is now 9months old. Before he was born, our neighbors suggested this swaddle blanket called the miracle blanket. Its on the pricey side, but I wanted to give it a try. We began swaddling him almost immediately and seldom had a fussy night. We kept his room dim during his last bottle and swaddled him every night. He began sleeping through the night at 5weeks old. We were blessed, to say the least. You can find the miracle blanket on line...I would suggest it!!!!!!!
first off congradulations. I found a few things worked for me. play mellow musical music when you put her down at night, have it play all night or until you go to bed, turn back on when she awakes, have night light on, wrap her in a blanket like they did in the hospital, she may be missing the wormth, and sug when in the womb. obvious make sure she is dry and not hungry, also rock in a chair, talk to her, sing, read abook ect. One thing I do not recomend is putting her in your bed with you for she will get use to this and sson this will come the only way she will sleep, and be calmb, it is very hard to get out of, also check to see that she is not to hot or cold. good luck iam sure she will be fine, and things will work out
Try giving the her a warm bath with the lavender baby magic bath. Then try rocking her in a dimly lit room in a snuggly blanket and maybe play soft music or sing to her. I used to do this with my son when he had colic. It lasted for about 1 month, and it really helped. Good luck.
