corsage for prom, no date?

so i dont have a date for prom (by choice) and my mom offered to still buy me a corsage if i wanted one. is that kinda weird/pathetic if i wear one, but didn't have a date?

  • I think that's sweet. If you're going stag by choice instead of because you're heartbroken or lonely or something, there's nothing pathetic about any of it. If you like corsages and really want to wear one, I say go for it. The question is, will you be embarrassed if someone asked you about it and you told them it was a gift from your mom? If you feel like you'd frown while saying that, then skip it.

Your mom probably just loves you and wants you to have flowers for your prom, even if you don't have a date. I think it's very nice of her to offer. If other people think that's lame, that's their problem. If you don't like the idea, maybe she can get you a tiny hand bouquet with a few blooms to hold in your prom picture. (Maybe she's also offering to make sure you can have some flowers in your picture.) Personally, I don't like wearing corsages in general. I find them bothersome while dancing, they wilt, etc. If you feel this way too, maybe go with the bouquet, or your mom could just get you some flowers to wear in your hair. :)

  • You can wear a wrist corsage.

  • i didnt have a date by choice also for my prom and my dad and mom got me a corsage.. its all good dont worry about it

  • why should that be weird if you want to wear a corsage...really...go and have fun...if someone asks why you have no date tell them...I had offers but no one really qualified and have fun...

  • I wouldn't wear it just because that's something your date is supposed to give you. Have fun anyway!

  • no

that's very nice of your mom

  • yes it is weird.
