How to remove a speedo gear from a 79 gmc 4x4?
ok i have a 79 gmc 4x4 and the speedocable comes out of the firewall, then to a cruise control box then down under the truck and into the passenger side of the transfer case on the tail. and i replace the control box and the cable so the only thing left is the speedo gear and i have no clue how to change it out if someone could tell me how to replace that plastic gear would be great. of yea the tranfer case is a 203 fulltime

There should be a 1/2 (head size) bolt holding a clamp in place on the T case where the cable goes in. Remove it. Pull the piece that the cable screws into out. Now you can see the plastic gear. Pull it out and replace it.
