  • This is easy to make and impressive.

    Chocolate Eclair Cake

1 (16 ounce) package graham crackers

2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix

    4 cups milk

1 (16 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 (16 ounce) package prepared chocolate frosting

Line the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan with graham crackers. In a large bowl, combine the milk and vanilla pudding according to directions on box. Fold in the whipped topping. Spread a layer of the pudding mixture over the graham crackers. Alternate the graham cracker and pudding layers up to the top of the pan. Cook the container of prepared frosting, uncovered in the microwave for 1 minute on half power. Pour over the top of the cake. Refrigerate for at least 12 hours before serving.

  • I must say when I make chocolate covered strawberries, people are impressed. It doesn't seem like a fancy dish, but if you have really big ripe strawberries and a really good dark chocolate, well that will impress. Lindt dark chocolate is perfect. Melt a large bar, chop the chocolate on low in the microwave, 1 minute at a time, stir after each minute - you want to slowly melt the chocolate. When the chocolate is melted dip the strawberries and place on a plate lined with parchment paper. Place in refrigerator 1 hour.

  • Why have pumpkin when you can have chocolate? ;o) You can serve these treats for breakfast, or as an elegant dessert. Chocolate Orange Turnovers Ingredients 1 1/2 ounces best-quality bittersweet chocolate, chopped, Lindt recommended 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated orange zest 1 egg, lightly beaten 1 thawed puff pastry sheet, Pepperidge Farm recommended 2 teaspoons superfine sugar Method Preheat oven to 425° Butter a baking sheet. Combine the chocolate and orange zest together in a small bowl. Trim the pastry sheet into a neat square and cut into 4 squares. Brush edges of pastry squares with some egg. Put one fourth chocolate mixture on center of each pastry square and fold each square diagonally in half, forming triangles. Seal edges by gently pressing together and crimp. Brush tops of turnovers with egg and sprinkle with sugar. Cut a small steam vent in top of each turnover with a sharp knife. Bake turnovers on a baking sheet in the middle of preheated oven until golden, 10 - 12 minutes. Remove turnovers to a cooling rack for a moment. Serve warm.

  • This is really simple and it is impressive.

    Creme Brulee

    2 cups cold milk

    1 cup cold half-and-half

2 pkg. (4-serving size each) Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding

    2 Tbsp. brown sugar

POUR milk and half-and-half into medium bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended.

POUR into 1-qt. shallow baking dish. Refrigerate 15 min.

PREHEAT broiler. Sprinkle brown sugar on top of pudding. Broil, 3 inches from heat, 2 to 4 min. or until sugar is melted and caramelized (a nice caramel colored glossy brown). Serve immediately.

Watch the broiler very carefully, because the sugar can burn easily.

Place fresh fruits like raspberries, blueberries, etc. on top for a garnish and dust with powdered sugar.

  • (leave out the nuts if you wish. I make this with chocolate only)

  • CHOCOLATE BROWNIE TRIFLE RECIPE---This dessert is to die for---looks incredible before serving---tastes out of this world!! Main ingredients are brownies, choc pudding, whipped cream and Heath Bars or Skor bars chopped up. (also Oreo cookies if you dont like the Candy bars)Here are some great pictures and the recipe:

    http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chocolate-Trifle/Deta...

I do not use the sweetened condensed milk---dont find it necessary.

I have also heard it called DEATH BY CHOCOLATE. If you want to make it extra special---after you make the brownies poke holes in them and pour on a liqueur like amaretto or kahlua. WOW!!!

ps--If you do not have a footed glass bowl just use any glass bowl. This way they see the beautiful layers.
