You don't want to date a pro hockey player you will be referred to as a puck bunny.. and the only ones that are single are the young silly ones that love the fact that they are on the road meeting different girls ALL the time. Or at least I know thats how it is in the minor leagues, I'm sure its just as bad in the pros, they have more money they can afford to get a little more crazy. Unless you want a broken heart stay away...
According to an article in Hockey News, a lot of players marry high school sweethearts.
I'd say find out where they hang out and live their lives and go there. But don't seem to interested in the professional hockey aspect or $$ or it will drive them away.
1) Players are highly sought after by women in Canada, or so it would seem. They're young, in shape, strong... so some groups of women seem to really like them...
As these girls seem to come around during one's "junior" career (ages 16 - 20, apprx), it's kind of nice for a player to meet a very beautiful girl and fall for her in the town where he is playing as he is living as a billet and his family is likely in another city. Then, some of these players make the NHL and they suddenly have money to spend on their sweatheart from those years... hence, an early marriage.
2) If they are still 'free' when they make the NHL, play hard to get... it's true that once you reach a certain level of hockey, the girls start really paying attention... and some of these young women are really beautiful! Thus, the guys get used to having women throwing themselves at them.... so, play hard to get... you will at least differentiate yourself from the masses...

Hang out where they leave the arena after a game and practice. Sometimes they will give you their phone number. I know htis because that's how a friend got a few of the Buffalo Sabres phone numbers.
My Boyfriend plays NHL Hockey and I met him at the restaraunt Martini's in Ohio, {He plays for Columbus} I guess just find out where they hang out, Meet-and-greets, Practices, Restaraunts, a couple bars after the game around the arena. Just places like that you can find them!

What a ridiculous question. Targeting a group of guys due to their profession is like saying, "I want to date only lawyers who make $250,000 a year."
Grow up.
they date them by asking them out. the hockey season isnt all year you know. and they still have time during the season to have kids..
