Help translate my chinese name: 胡满华 into a real japanese name.?

  I think you have a couple options.

  1. don't change a thing

  2. keep the same characters but read them Japanese style

  3. find characters with the same meaning and read them Japanese style (maybe increasing to 4 characters like a typical Japanese name, 3 is ok though)

  4. pick a completely new name, one that you like (example, a Westerner I once met named Edgar picked edogawa as his Japanese surname because it was close to Edgar and then picked a Japanese first name to use)

  Japanese way to read & meaning:

  胡 u, ko, go, sanzo, ebisu, kuru (barbarian, foreign)

  满 ? I think it's Chinese only (do not change to otoko, it means boy and your avatar is a girl)

  华 ? I think it's Chinese only

  Since your last name can be read as Ebisu, which is a name in Japanese (a section of Tokyo, the god of fisherman), you might consider "Ebisu" as your last name (恵比寿) but 3 characters is a little long in Japanese. You might make this your first name instead. Hiruko (蛭子)

  Chinese-English dictionary said 华 means: magnificent, splendid, flowery. One way to say splendid in Japanese is 豪華 (gouka). 華 means flower as well as to describe something Chinese so I kinda like this as a last name but it's not a real Japanese last name.

  故 has Japanese sound of "Ko."

  满 change to 男 sound of "otoko" but you can use "O" I say this because the character is the Japanese equivilent of the Chinese. If the person who also answers, they should know Chinese AND Japanese. 满 is Chinese for "man." if you don't like Otoko, then use 人.

  华 change to 中 sound of "chuu"

  So, 故男中 Ko Ochuu or Koo Chuu. I'm not sure which characters represent a surname and which is a given name.
