Get a new core 2, if it's a laptop, ur screwed. lol. If it's a desktop, just take off the heat sink, then swap out the processors, and pt thermal grease on
umm u can oc' the mobo using ocing programs but take note that if your mobo is like a hp , gateway, dell they lock from oc'ing but if u have a clone try the bios and looking for FSB, RAM, Vcore but watch if u have to increase your vcore then don't oc any further,

some processors allow overclocking (not sure how to do this) depends on you motherboard. Otherwise get a newer processor.

you can overclock the processor to run faster, but unless you know what you are doing this is not recommended, since it can ruin the processor.
