Laptop CPU temp.?

My brother has laptop with a AMDmobile sempron 1.6ghz cpu and the cpu temp is 145F-156f.Is that too hot?

That is at idle the 145f is after the fan has been on.

    that is about normal running temp.. you will find amd processors run hotter than intel. also intel celeron runs hotter than pentium ., nothing abnormal , just ensure none of the vent fan ports are blocked etc.. and you are fine.. you will enjoy the amd i am sure i am a big fan of AMD..     Hi. Laptop CPUs tend to run hot but that seems pretty close to the recommended limit. If the laptop is stable, though, then it's OK.

    That's pretty warm. If it get's worse you should get a Thermal Event warning during boot up.
