Do Shih Tzus ever mature?

I have a Shih Tzu. When he was only a few months old, he would run around the house and get all hyped up. And now when he's three years old he's still running around the house and getting all hyped up, but however, he sleeps more often now. So do Shih Tzus ever mature?

    You're dog is already mature. If you mean slow down? You got SEVERAL years before that happens.

    Sorry to tell you this, but how he is not is how he is going to be until he's much older and can't move around as easily. You just have a happy, hyper dog. Try taking walks in the mornings and evenings, that should cut down on the chaos indoors.
