  • you can propagate it use coral fragments the right lighting some grow faster the others. some can take over a tank. talk to where you are getting your fish. they can show you what you need to buy.

  • It can be easy or difficult depending on the type. Leather corals will grow like weeds under the proper conditions (I had a piece of colt coral the size of my thumb that grew the the size of my hand in three months) small polyp stonies will be somewhat slower growing and large polyp stony's will grow very slow. Most of your colonial polyps (zoanthis, palythoas, and green star polyps) may actually grow so fast and spread so thick that they choke out other species. Be careful placing these types.

  • If you have a saltwater tank and the correct lighting you can buy coral frags from others, or from stores, and over time they will gradually grow and multiply. This isn't a fast process, and it takes months. I buy most of my frags from local reefers, and found this to be the best and cheapest way.

  • Yes most types of coral can be propagated by taking small pieces from larger pieces of coral.

  • Its possible but really difficult...and quite expensive adventure. Tje equipment and supplies will triple the cost of the average salt tank...plus cost ten times the normal monthly buget for salt water. This forum is too small to give you the directions. look on DR foster and smiths and get a good book on reef aquariums...this will give the basics
