Goto settings in yahoo mail. there could be an selection there which says import contacts . decide on on that selection and the record is downloaded. Goto gmail and prefer settings. decide on import contacts. only upload that downloaded record which you in basic terms did from yahoo mail. :-) adventure!

I'm new to gmail and have a few problems getting use to it myself. i suggest u contact the gmail post master.
