  • Shine a flashlight "through" your scrotum and look at the lump (in a mirror) where the light should be coming out. If you can see light through it, it's a hydrocele or spermatocele (look them up), if not it's some other kind of mass you should go straight to the doctor for. Caught early enough, testicular cancer is relatively easy to fix. You really don't want to wait until it isn't easy!

  • I wouldn't worry until you get it checked out by the doctor. I had a patient that let a bump go for 6 months and it actually was cancer so go get it checked just to be sure! Good luck

  • I agree with Bob, I had Testicular cancer and had my left one removed and five days a week for a month of radiation, so don't take any chances, go see someone tomorrow. Good Luck.

  • Is it painful? Pain is good, it means less chance of cancer. Also, see if the bump goes down . I could just be an infection or irritation. The younger you are the less chance for cancer.

  • To determine whether or not the lump you feel is something serious or not you need to see a doctor immediately and get an ultrasound examination of the scrotum and testes. In the right hands these examinations are very reliable.

  • Get it checked out immediately. That's what almost killed Lance Armstrong. He ignored it and it metastisized to his lungs and brain. Go to the Dr's tomorrow.

  • Go get checked by your doctor.
