Cheerios commercial controversy?
There was an article on Yahoo on Saturday, regarding some sort of outrage at the Cheerios commercial where the guy asks his wife if she's trying to lose weight, and his reason is "it says so right on the box".
I never saw the article myself, but my mother did and was telling me about it. She can't remember the headline of the article, and I would really like to see it, and what it's about. I think it may have been a video link from the little window at top of the Yahoo home page where there are usually around 5 articles there?
Sorry folks, I wish I had more details, but am going off what little info my Mom was able to provide.
Thanks in advance!

"THE BOX SAYS SHUT UP STEVE"
Sorry, I had to say it.
Well, I looked around and this is all I found.

Sorry.
and I COMPLETELY disagree with the guy on the right.
I haven't seen a commerical in about 6 years and before that I only watched TV for about 5 months before I got sick of it and had the cable disconnected.
One of the main reasons TV irritated me so much was because of the commericals.
They were LOUD, obnoxious,in your face, flashing from scene to scene and extremely repetitive meaning I had to see the same 5 commercials played about 3 times each every commerical break which happened every 5 minutes after the program began and lasted for about 9 minutes before it went back to the program.
I noticed though that they do make men look stupid and this Cheerios commerical just goes along with the agenda set forth by all of Hollywood to project an image of utter stupidity by all men.
Most 'tough guy' movie roles are now given to women where it used to be a strong man such as Clint Eastwood or Sean Connery were given those roles now we have Angelina Jolie etc. playing them while the men are usually the helpless/stupid ones who need the woman to save them or tell them what to do.
I hate television especially commercials and I feel sorry for all those men who have to put up with Hollywood protraying them as blithering morons everytime you turn on the TV or go to the Movies.
I would be outraged at this stupid commercial if I were a man but as a woman it just reinforces my current opinion of the sewage being pumped out of Hollywood into everyones livingroom.
