For my friends birthday we have decided to take her to canada. We live in michigan and are thinking about Ontario. What is the night life like??? What is there to do or where should we stay? Any help is greatly appreciated!
Well If you`re from Michigan I don`t think you have any other choice than Ontario unless you want to drive all the way up into Manitoba - where the drinking age is 18 . But anyways I suggest you drive to Toronto, biggest city in Canada, best nightlife, best entertainment, best clubs.
Make sure you all have valid ID's and more than one per person. It depends on how far you are willing to drive. I live near London, which has a few good clubs, and a wide variety. It is also a lot closer to the border than Toronto, as well as cheaper as most places only charge $5 cover. If you like techno/dubstep there is Cobra, for country there is Cowboys, and for places with a "younger" feel there is Taphouse or The Barking Frog, just to name a few.
Do ALL of you have US passports ? You do know that to GET BACK INTO THE USA, you MUST have a valid US Passport, right ? No passport, no re-entry in to the USA, period. Your countries rules, not Canada's . As of June the first, of 2009, that is the law.
Second point, the legal age in Ontario to drink or gamble is 19. Be prepared to prove your age at any bar or casino, in Ontario. That's where the passport comes in handy. right ?
Motels and hotels will not rent a room, unless one of you has a credit card that they can take a security deposit on, and when you pay your bill and the room is not damaged, you will get the deposit refunded to the card. No smoking in any hotel room , bar, restaurant, or public place in Ontario. Period.

Toronto.
go to toronto. Definitely the most exciting nightlife. Stay close to downtown.
First, you need to answer WHERE in Michigan you live.
CANADA
