Does all Melanoma stem from moles?
I've got an auntie with a black little growth on her shoulder, she's had it for a long time but it was never a mole so could it be something like Melanoma?
She's been to the doctor and she was told to get it removed, would the doctor send her for a removal before a biopsy if she thought it was serious?

You do not need to have a mole to have melanoma.
I don’t know what her doctor would have done, she should have asked her.
If it is melanoma she will likely need to have more removed anyway, regardless of how much was removed the first time.
That sounds like a malignant form of melanoma. Get it removed before the cancer gets any worse.
