tennis number 1?

i moved to a new school. i won all my challenge matches possible. had to stop at 3.end of the year.i beat this guy 2-6 6-2 6-0. he said he gotten better and lost cause underestimaing me and now can kill me. he said after one tournament, he was so good, he 's going to always play like that and kill everyone. he also said if i played him again, might as well give up. how should i deal with this?

Update:

him, the coach, the rest of the team always idolizes the number one. i think, my private coach thinks, and some college players think i could beat him but all this talk is getting me itimadated. also people say that if get to the number one in a challenge match, just give up, coach is sometimes like that too. i think it is bad to prove to people im better, instead of just playing cause i love it, but i can't truly get that into my head and always trying to prove that the number one is not that good. how do i fix this?

  • sounds like he is scared to play you because he will lose. he is trying to get into your head. don't let him

  • ppl who talk like that are all talk.

this one kid duz it at my school too, hes like i'll take u all but he sucks. he just got to ppl's heads and they messed up. sounds familiar right....lol

do this: after every point u win shake ur fist and be like, "yes!"

the other person gets messed up, whenever i do it and the persons better than me they always play worse.

itz what the other guy did, that and pre-game talk, so he got moved up for beating the ppl.

calm down and take it easy, ull be fine

  • You might as well play him. Don't give up, if you get beat it's not the end of the world.

  • Keep a positive attitude and GO FOR IT. You really don't have much to lose. If you win it will be great!.and even if you lose it is not a big deal. If you stay positive you will definitely win.

  • kick the sh!t out of him

    play him more

    that's how are coach is

he has favorites over most people

beat him over and over again

eventually you'll get recognized for it.

  • He wasn't always #1, so they didn't always idolize him. Who cares about him. Care about your form, your strategy, your forehand, backhand, footwork... start running to get great cardio. Then keep improving and you'll be wonderful before you know it and he will be shaking from fear!

  • Just go for it :) Play your best and have fun !!!

    Good Luck xxx

  • trash talking? no need to play his game.

you beat him already you can do it again.

keep your mouth shut, let your racquet do the talking.
