  • Denver has its rough spots, but there are also neighborhoods here that are quite nice. Nice areas include (but not limited to):

    *Cherry Creek

    *Stapleton

    *Washington Park

    *Capitol Hill

    Some rough ones:

    *Park Hill

    *The majority of Colfax Blvd

    *almost everything west of downtown

If you're from Utah, you are probably used to suburbia. SLC, especially downtown, is tiny compared to Denver. Nice suburbs here are:

    *Highlands Ranch

    *Louisville

    *Littleton

    *Broomfield

    *Parker

  • Fort Collins is actually closer to the mountains, technically, then Denver. It is a lot closer to Rocky Mountain National Park, too. It's a very nice community. Your best bet is probably suburban Denver, especially the western suburbs of Lakewood, Littleton, etc. I'm not sure what you mean by open-minded, but don't expect anything in Colorado to be like New York, Chicago, etc. It's just not that kind of place. A lot of the Denver area, despite being a big city, does feel like a small town. For most of us, though, that's a good thing that we value about living here.

  • yeah totally. ive lived in a suburb of enver forever its really safe.

  • no place is completely safe on this planet.
