Does my sister have a pop up virus?
My sister has a problem on her computer. She uses Firefox (latest version) but for some reason gets pop ups from nowhere (sometimes when she's not even ON the browser). Strangely, the pop ups do not open from the Firefox browser but from the Internet Explorer she had pre-installed (like all windows) on her computer.
She DOES have a POP UP BLOCKER. She HAS it. But for some reason, that pop up blocker isn't working so well even when it's on high.
My dad had a similar problem to this before on his computer and the guy who fixed it said he had a virus or something. Does my sister have a virus? If she does, how can she fix it?

Switch off system restore.
Install SUPERantispyware http://superantispyware.com/
Update and do a full scan.
Reboot and you should be clear.
You can then restart System Restore if you like.
I'd also then run a full scan with your anti-virus software to be sure.
Yes your Sister has a Virus her Pop up blocker can't do anything anymore because the pop ups.. they don't come from a site.. the virus already registered in your computer
You should Scan it with Anti Virus or something and if that doesn't work go to recovery mode from Windows
She might have adware on her PC. Scan and remove with your anti-spyware. You can also go to http://www.lavasoft.com/ and download the latest version of Ad-Aware.
Uninstalling IE also might help.
