    Portland, Oregon would be much further as it's on the other side of the country.

    It's about 5 hours. If you make stops, incur traffic, or drive slow, plan on 6 hours. If traffic is great and you make no stops you might be able to get there in 4.5 hours. But be prepared, it's 5 hours of nothing but farmland. I've never seen so many cows in my life. Philly and Puttsburgh are really like two bookends holding together 5 hours of rural scenery.
