If you delete a contact does it inform them (with an email) like it does when you add them? Or do you just disappear from their list of fans without them noticing? (Hopefully...lol)
I'v e often been concerned about the same thing! You don't want to hurt any bodies feelings, but you can't just keep allowing your list to get bigger & bigger either!

They will not get notified and yes you will just disappear.
Nope, no email alerts are sent when you remove a contact. You're safe (that is, till they notice and want to add you again)

If you remove a contact
a message will say
removal successful.
The message would follow
the removing the person.
Quite often if you remove someone
they would remove you unless they are
under a different name.
