Algebra: cos^2 theta -1 = 0 ?

Question One: cos^2 theta -1 =0

Question Two: 2sin theta cos theta = cos theta

Update:

Comments

  • cos^2 theta - 1 =0

    cos^2 theta = 1

    cos thete = ± 1

    theta = kpi , k any integer

  • cos^2(x) - 1 - sin^2(x)

    => sin^2(x) = 0

    => x = n(pi) for n = 1, 2, 3...

    2sin(x) cos(x) = cos(x)

    => sin(x) = 1/2

    Can you get the rest?
