how do I defrag my computer?

    Go to Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Disk Defragmenter if you're on XP.

    If your using Windows XP, make sure you disable any A/V software you are running first...then do the following.

    Right click My Computer, click Manage

    Click Disk Defragmenter, highlight your C: partition and click Defragment

    If it's windows you go to the properties of any of your drives (like C: for example) and then go to tools and click on defragment now

    Depends on the OS. Windows Vista look for Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Degramenter. XP is similar location.

    right click the disc u want to defrag and properties tools tab defragment now

    any of the above will work, but you can also go to Start, then select "run" and type the following into the text box: defrag c:

    that should do it too.

    Let that run for a while :)

    Otherwise, install Linux and you will never have to worry about fragmentation again.
