How to delete temp files?

How do I delete temp files?

I have Vista HPrem...

I remember deleting them months ago and ended up getting over 22 gb back. But I forgot how I did it.

Thanks

  • the best way to do it is to go to start run and then enter %temp%

since its vista it doesnt have the run command by default so just right click on the vista startbar and then hit properties and then go i believe the third tab and go down and hit display run commmand.

  • It deletes rubbish files. What happens when you delete cookies is that all the websites that you've visited are deleted from the address bar, and when you delete Tepm files it means that websites load slower until you visit that website again.

  • Hello Click on your start window and control panel and click on 'free up space on your disk' and click on the box 'Disk clean will scanning compress old files . box will open Disk cleanup for DRV1(c)

view files and click ok you will see

' are you sure you want to perform these actions? click yes and cleaning compress old files will start and after that .that it

  • it depends on which internet browser you are using. But there is a program that will clean it all for u and its free ofline, download it becouse it is one of the best tools out there

    Ccleaner

  • Go to download.com & download C Cleaner.

Run it on a routine basis & it will keep you cleaned up.

You can also use your disc clean up tool but I like C Cleaner. It is easier & better.

  • I agree with Casey above. CCleaner is very good!

  • Windows disk cleanup utility will do it.
