the books are a thousand times better and more interesting. the show changed EVERYTHING! they really did a great job ******* it up. but i still like it anyway. but i LOVED the books.
While it's true that some t.v. programs are better at portraying and informing than literature, literature in themselves are a getaway. I personally would have a booklet over t.v.

I read the books however i havent seen the TV series yet.... so im going to go with books
