Excel 2007 - How do I display a date as Jan 2010 not Jan-10?

I want to Display the date Jan 2010 specifically as that on a chart but it keeps changing to Jan-10.

I have checked the date format as dd-mm-yyyy and tried most of the other options too. What am I missing?

    Right-click on the axis you want to change. Click "Format axis". Select the Custom format (at the bottom of the list). In the box type

    mmm yyyy

    OK.

    Select the cell and press ctrl+1

    In the Number tab select the custom format.

    In Type enter "mmm yyyy" w/o the quotes
