My friend is around 23 and came from korea. He knows how to spell and read at a steady pace, but he wants me to teach him how to pronounce and stuff. How would I do this?

There are courses that give instruction in teaching ESL, but if you just want to help a friend encourage him to watch as much TV as possible and make English speaking friends. Most bookstores sell ESL courses, both in books and on CD's. You'll do better using some course materials because they're usually structured by topic. Which materials you choose doesn't really matter -- he should choose something that works for him. As far as pronunciation is concerned, don
t be TOO picky, or he'll get discouraged. You just want to make sure that everything he says can be understood. Good luck.
