Panama Al Brown vs Carlos Zarate?

Two bantamweight greats. 15 rounds. The rangiest bantamweight I can think of who was never stopped against the most powerful.

  • I can think of no rangier bantamweight myself, Brown stood 5'11" and had a 76 inch reach, bigger than some heavyweights and yet he managed to weigh in at 118 lbs.

He was the first Hispanic champion in history and defended the bantamweight title nine times.

Zarate was no shorty either at 5'8" and has to be one of the most powerful p4p fighters of all time with 63 KO's from 66 wins. He was bantamweight champion for two years and won his first 52 pro fights, in fact all of his four losses came at the tail end of his career.

It would be a fight that could go either way, I think the lanky Brown would last the distance and have some success countering Zarate but would lose a close decision.

    Zarate UD15.

  • Zarate would have walked through Panama's spindly defenses and tore at him until he went down on all fours for the full count by the 6th or 7th round.
