How do you program your TV if you lost your remote control?

We lost our remote control a few years ago. Now we can only get a few channels. The menu button on the Tv does not control the channels.

Update:

I tried a universal remote but it doesn't program channels. It only changes channels.

    Order a replacement remote [ I had to for the same reasons] I can vouch for this site - quick and affordable...and they carry remotes for even real old TV's in addition to newer ones

    My remote just stopped working one day. I got another remote, but it doesn't work either. So now I have to actually get up to do anything to the boobtube. :)

    If you can't get a universal remote to work, and the menu buttons don't have a add channel or auto program feature then you, like me are out of luck. It sounds like we both need to buy a new tv.

    if it does not have the buttons on the front ( or side) you cant, contact the manufacturers they will be able to source a remote for even the oldest model !
